Market Tavern in Stockton

Met a couple of girlfriends here after work. Monday night special is the Mary's fried chicken. It comes with 10 juicy pieces and 2 sides. The chicken is delicious! I had a side of greens and the garlic mashed potatoes, both of such were yummy. Our server was friendly and helpful. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon.

It’s a bar..not a restaurant....food is premade and microwaved..don’t waste your time or money.... goto black angus...stay away....very prejudice...not welcoming...all the workers stare and nobody smiles. Don’t eat here breakfast or lunch.... you will be disappointed. It’s a bar....go to Morton’s steak house if you want food cooked right...

Great food and excellent bar tender.

Busy place, took a while to be seated, but well worth the wait. Steaks were well cooked. Vibe was really contemporary and everything tasted great.

All the food is delicious!Tonight's (Monday) special was 10 pieces GF Mary's chicken fried with two sides. Its was amazing! Definitely enough for two people to share. Oh, and the drink selection is amazing! All hand crafted and tasty!

Amazing lunch 🍴 today. Had the summer grain salad with prawns, the cornbread with 🍯 butter, and salmon sandwich. Great getaway on a Monday...it was busy but service was both speedy and top notch.

Very good service it was wonderful. Their brunch menu is great. The donuts Nd fries corn bread are amazing. The vegan chilequilas were amazing.

Tried this place with friends on a spur of the moment night out! It was so so good! Our server made great recommendations for food! We went with the pizza, the Cobb salad, and ceaser salad. The cocktails were a little too small for the price. We ordered three desserts and every single one was YUMMY! We will be back!

I stopped here on the way to the coast on the recommendation of my father. He specifically said the cheesecake was the best in the area, and it did not disappoint. Very good cheesecake. We had brunch here and the food was excellent. Service was great. I look forward to stopping for dinner on the way back!

Even with the covid-19 the service is outstanding food was great..Bloodymary was off the chains...very pleased over all..

Cozy place for sure.Great atmosphere.The smell of burning wood was also great.Vast selection of 🍺 and 🍷.Sadly to say the food could have used some help.Will definitely go back again.

Bravo, very tasty menu and with some unique healthy food not typically found in restaurants. Great atmosphere and has a full bar. Reservations are recommended but not required if you don't mind the wait. A bit pricey but worth the quality and selection. Love the hibiscus margaritas.

Food and service were excellent. They were able to work a plan B with social distancing seating that works, and is comfortable. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience here. Great service, nice selection of beers, and good food. Cornbread appetizer was recommended and was very delicious. Burgers are thick and good.

In Stockton! Mind blown. Every city needs a place with this kind of energy and atmosphere. I recommend a Greyhound from the bar. My girlfriend loves it there. She's beautiful. Market taverns beautiful. Like sunsets. Cheers!

I really loved this place! I had previously seen the ratings on Google and was invited by a friend to join them for lunch. The ambiance was so nice. We ended up sitting in the main dining area. Dark and dim but lively atmosphere with amazing food aroma in the air. Has a Bay Area Palo Alto feel. We ended up ordering 2 appetizers and 2 meals and each dish was so good. We loved how we could watch the food coming out of the kitchen to make a decision on what we're going to order. They have all kinds of items on the menu: Meat, No Meat, and Vegetarian selections. Full dessert and drink menu. I also loved the market which gives you the chance to purchase the food you've tasted on the menu. Overall, I look forward to visiting again by bringing someone else in the future.

We came to this spot for dinner. my friend recommended this place. Well, it was very successful. the staff members were so friendly and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was yummy. We loved this restaurant a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Garlic fries good. Meatballs fine. Don't think this is 4 star dining though.

We loved our experience at Market Tavern. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. The decor is modern and tasteful. The menu allows for a variety of food preferences and choices. The dishes were artfully presented. This restaurant is a gem in Stockton.

Food came out timely, all so deliciously filling. Service was quick and attentive. Would definitely come back.

Just had appetizer meatballs they were so tough I couldn't get a a fork into them or cut them with a knife, I also had spaghetti and meatballs I called and spoke to manager John he told me he spoke to the chef and he likes them that way. Very sad. Will not go back.

My boyfriend and i came here after leaving midgleys because they wouldnt seat us for happy hour. The service was GREAT!!! As soon as we got their we were seated and brought water and drinks were ordered. The cornbread appetizer was amazing and fresh and so were the fish tacos! Delicious food and great service. I love this place!!!

Walk in asked by gal if we have a reservation. Responded wasn't aware needed one, makes big deal about high top seating available. Sits us waitress does drive by on our order. Flies by us only stopped when we put our empty dishes on table next to us.However she acknowledged people she knew Tried to stop on way out to talk with manager but everyone was too busy. Not planning to visit again.

This is a great place for good food and drinks in Stockton. The bartenders really know what they're doing with their cocktails! The drinks aren't really meant for folks who are new to drinking, they're more for folks who like bold takes on drinks. There's always something new and wonderful to try and their food is locally sourced and delicious. Plus the grocery that's connected to it? So many awesome to-go lunch options and fancy cheeses. I love it!

A bit hard to find. The Market Tavern is tucked away inside a shopping center and not visible from the street. The atmosphere was nice, but I was seated next to a noisy group and under some very loud speakers which was a annoying. My waitress greeted me with a warm smile and told me the Specials. I ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was excellent!! Overall, the food and service is on-point. I decided to make a second trip. My waitress didn’t mention the Specials so I had to ask. I decided to try the Rib Eye sandwich with a salad and side of fries. I also ordered the Chicken wings as an appetizer. They were a bit over cooked so I didn’t eat them. The sandwich was good, but too greasy and I couldn’t finish it. I would note, however, that the Manager was very attentive and my waitress, Emily, was excellent. I was offered a desert on the house and I ordered the hot fudge brownie with gelato —awesome!Overall, this busy Resturant is worth another trip.

I’ve wanted to redo my entire month long NorCal trip just so I could have discovered this place sooner. Here in my last week I’ve sat at the bar twice in 48 hrs and I stare at the menu trying to decide how I want to attack. I went back to Livermore two days ago hurting after I couldn’t stop eating. I said I wouldn’t do it again but who am I kidding! Today I ate dessert before dinner. Insanely delicious Maple Glazed and Walnut Donuts. I started with a Caesar salad both times and it’s totally perfect. Trying to avoid getting the Esquites Street Corn again but it was soooo good. The bone marrow and meatballs are spot on. I cursed under my breathe three times because I didn’t have better words to describe my satisfaction. Jessica and staff were nothing short of delightful. I need the chicken pot pie, the parm, the short ribs, the wild mushroom pizza and the cheesecake in my stomach all within the next 36 hours Before I go back to Texas and my job here is done. #fatgirlproblems #happyplates

Excellent service and delicious steak! The cut was juicy and tender, served with a generous portion of fries and cooked veggies. They serve quality meat! Definitely the go-to steakhouse in the Stockton area. I even had a great laugh when I read their sign walking in the front door

We love hanging out. Yesterday we found this superb restaurant which friends told us about. We had a lovely evening there with excellent food and an experienced team and a great cuisine. We added this place in our phone list and we shall surely return very soon. We deeply recommend.

This has always been one of our favorite spots in town. The food is always delicious and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The place also has a pretty cool vibe and fantastic bar.

Everything I have had has been fantastic. I really enjoy the burger, lamb burger, fried chicken sandwich, pizza, steaks and anything else I have had their. The staff is fun, knowledgeable and helpful. Hands down my favorite place to eat in Stockton.

I loved it... The experience of being able to eat here was the greatest. Our server was fantastic and she was nice and polite to us. The food was amazing, the skirt steak was great and the Hamburger was great as well. The cornbread along with Chili Honey butter was fantastic and it was something I haven't seen done. Ill be coming back to eat here again!!!

The food here was pretty good, but there were a few things that just didn't live up to the flavor for the cost. The Shishito Peppers were super plain for example. I did get a Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it was pretty good though. The Fries were also good.

Great quality food and courteous prompt service. Awesome drinks and rotating menu. A true gem in the Central Valley.
